with Golf Courses
New Zealand has a number of awe inspiring landscapes, forests and mountain ranges and a pleasant climate; making it a great place for outdoor activities such as Golf. There are currently over 390 courses in New Zealand with it being the highest participation sport (500,000 adults playing per year).
NZWR has provided grass carp to compliment a number of Golf Clubs in managing their waterways, and should be the preferred method. Other aquatic weed control methods are more costly, with the likes of herbicide being not too forgiving in the development and maintenance of greens and fairways!
